Joe's London to Paris Cycle Ride

Well done to Joe Al-Khayat who saved the train fare by cycling all the way from London to Paris in 3 days and raised a fantastic £2,740.50 for Headway services.

Headway Cardiff Summer Fete

We had a great attendance at our Summer Fete on Saturday 20th June.  Lots of fun was had by all and we raised  £657!!  Thanks to everyone who attended.

Action for Brain Injury Week 18 – 14th May 2015  

Headway Cardiff Open Session:  11 – 12.30am Friday 22nd May

To mark Action for Brain Injury Week (18 – 24th May 2015) Headway Cardiff will be holding an Open Session which will showcase some of the services we, as a voluntary organisation, provide to support survivors of acquired brain injury and their families.  It will be an opportunity to see an example of how the voluntary sector, local authority Social Services and the Welsh NHS can work together.

Senior politicians, including Mark Drakeford AM, Minister for Health and Social Services; Jane Hutt AM, Minister for Finance, and the Head of Cardiff and Vale Health Board, are amongst the distinguished visitors who will be attending the session.

Survivor Takes on Trekfest Challenge

David Griffiths who attends our Social and Activities Group will be taking on the challenge of a 13 mile walk at Brecon Trekfest on the 6th June - stay tuned for more information and pictures! 

Headway Cardiff Spring Ball, April 2015

The ballroom was full to capacity with our supporters enjoying an excellent meal and dancing until late.  Thanks to Justin Evans who spoke movingly about his journey as a survivor of brain injury and the support he received from Headway Cardiff.  

We raised an amazing £8170.00!!!  Thanks to all who attended.

 

 

London Marathon 2015

We are delighted to have two runners in this years Virgin Money London Marathon which will take place on Sunday 26th April.

The latest draw for our 100 Club took place this month and we are delighted to announce the winners:

1st prize: Michelle Taylor

 We would like say huge congratulations to Nathan Laing and his cousin Sophie who ran the London Marathon in a time of 4 hours 
 and 46 minutes and  raised over £5000 for Headway Cardiff!!!

A big thank you to Jan and Mark who very bravely shaved their heads for Headway Cardiff last month and raised a brilliant £147!

 

 Thank you very much to Jo Hargreaves who ran the Llanelli Half Marathon for Headway Cardiff in March and raised a brilliant £257.50!

 

 

      A huge thank you to Ellice Harding who has raised an amazing £1000 for Headway Cardiff by taking part in the Bristol Half Marathon 
     earlier this year.

 

   Thank you to Sharon Moore who has raised nearly £150 in sponsorship money from completing the Cardiff Half Marathon in October

 

 

Thank you very much to Christian Bold who has raised £733 from taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon in October.

 

A big thank you to Helen Lloyd who has raised over £880 by completing two triathlons, with no previous sporting experience!

 

 

 

 

 

Justin Evans organized Please Mind Your Head 4 which was an incredible sucess, raising £1448, thank you Justin. An amazing night was had by all.
